Most booking software treats every cage as a separate room. Yours aren't: nets go up to make an open area, cages convert to pitching, and a lesson needs the right coach in the right cage. HoldEngine books all of it, without double-booking a thing.
Hourly cage rentals, booked on a phone
Customers see every free time for the day with its price, choose who's coming, sign the waiver and pay, in under a minute and with no password. You set the rental length, the start times and how far ahead people can book, and you can charge more on weekday evenings.
When they're done, they get their booking with an Add to calendar button and directions to you. Their exact cage is picked shortly before they arrive, unless they asked for one.
Open areas and whole-floor rentals
Tell HoldEngine which cages combine into a bigger space, such as an open turf area or the whole floor. When a team books one, cage rentals already in it are moved to free cages automatically. If there's no room to move someone, they go on a call list for your staff, so nobody turns up to find their cage gone.
Batting and pitching in the same cage
For each cage that converts, set how long the switch takes. When a pitching booking follows a batting one, HoldEngine keeps the changeover time free, so your staff are never rushed and customers never wait.
Lessons that need a coach and the right cage
A pitching lesson might need Coach Sam and a cage with a mound in pitching setup. HoldEngine only offers times when both are free, and it remembers which coaches teach which lessons and when they work.
HitTrax, Rapsodo and other installed tech
Mark which cages have HitTrax, a mound or anything else installed, and offer bookings that need it. A booking that needs HitTrax only ever goes in a cage that has it.
Repairs and closures
Close a cage for a net repair and HoldEngine moves its bookings to cages that are free. Anyone it can't move goes on the call list, with the reason, so one call sorts it out.

Questions about batting cage booking
Can customers book a batting cage online by the hour?
Yes. Customers choose a cage rental, see every free time for the day with its price, and book and pay on their phone. You decide the length of a rental, the start times (every 30 minutes, say) and how far ahead people can book.
Can customers choose a specific cage?
Yes. A customer can ask for a particular cage, and then it's theirs and won't be moved. Otherwise HoldEngine picks the best cage shortly before the booking starts, which leaves room for more bookings.
What happens when a team books the whole floor?
HoldEngine moves any cage rentals already booked into the floor's other cages, if there's room. Anyone it can't move goes on a call list for your staff, with their phone number and email.
Can a cage switch between batting and pitching?
Yes. You set how long a conversion takes for each cage, and HoldEngine keeps that time free whenever a booking needs the cage set up differently from the one before.
Can I charge more at peak times?
Yes. Each kind of booking has a base price, with higher or lower prices at the times you choose, such as weekday evenings. Members can get a discount.
Does it work for softball too?
Yes. HoldEngine is built for indoor baseball and softball training facilities: cages, pitching lanes, open turf areas, and the lessons that use them.
