Questions about pricing
Do customers mind a booking fee?
Customers see it on each time before they choose one, so there are no surprises at checkout. On a $45 cage rental the 3% fee is $1.35. Ticketing and activity booking sites charge customers fees like this every day.
Can I pay the booking fee myself instead?
Yes. If you'd rather your customers see only your price, you can pay the fee yourself. It's the same rate either way.
Is there a fee on memberships?
Yes, the same 3% on each monthly membership charge, but you pay it, not your members, so they never see a fee on their monthly bill.
Who handles card payments?
Stripe. Customers pay your business directly, and Stripe pays out to your bank account. HoldEngine never holds your money. Stripe's card fee is the same as if you used Stripe on your own.

The first 10 facilities to join pay a 1.5% booking fee instead of 3%, locked for 24 months.
Is there a setup fee?
Not for founding facilities. We'll draw your floor and set up your prices with you before your first booking, at no cost.
